Update at
Livin-It-Up January 3, 2004
Welcome back, and Happy New Year. Now that the holiday bashes are all settled, the gifts long since exchanged, and the hang over's near recovery, time to get back to a little business ehh?
Before we get to the standard update offerings, we'd like to take a minute to bid farewell to our affiliate site, Flotsim & Jetsim who has recently announced it's pending closure. We are, as surely most of the community is, extremely sad to see this closure come. While the presence of the site will be greatly missed, even the absence of the banner on our site seems a little naked to us, all is far from lost. In the coming updates here at Livin-It-Up, we'll be migrating the majority of the content of that site here. Libby and Wendy, on behalf of Livin-It-Up and the entire Sims community, we thank you for all you've done, mourn the loss, and welcome you openly to Livin-It-Up.
As if we're not all shopped out after the holidays, and likely sworn off malls and shopping centers for the next six months... Slim kicks off the new year in style with the "Sim-Mart" shopping center. Comprised of everything from hardware and tool displays to electronics, appliances, even a boutique. Surely your Sims have got a little mileage left on their plastic even if you don't.
Ohmikeghod turned out some classic oriental furnishings and decor for this one along with some great new rugs to go with. Mhari adds some new bath pieces in white marble and some paintings, Bluejeans a new cooktop and bookcase, and Drewster a painting. We've got some beautiful walls from NorthernKat, Mhari, and Ohmikeghod, and floors by NorthernKat. Sweetheart did a great remodel of the "Farmer's Market" using gabled roofs.
For your styling pleasures, we've got new teen girls, rubenesque female, fit female, fit male skins in a variety of styles by Vix, Drewster, and Lachelle as well as ladies heads by Mhari.
Finally, a new section to Livin-It-Up which we hope will grow over time and be of great use to those wishing to delve into creating for themselves. A "D.I.Y." section (Do It Yourself). This section will feature base objects and graphical bits for your own uses in creation. We kick this section off with a some new bits by Mhari as well as some older bases from elsewhere on the site.
We'd like to say thanks to
Parsimonious for awarding us the Parsimonious Staff Choice Award for excellence in 3D Objects. We will display it with pride.
Until next time, we wish you the best in 2004.
